Nathaniel Rateliff is one of the best songwriters we’ve heard in the last few years, and our obsession really began when we heard his latest album, Falling Faster Than You Can Run. (If you remember, we used its album cover for our 20 Best Sad Bastard Songs of 2013, which is one of our highest honors here at SiC.) It’s a great place to start if you’re not familiar with the critically-lauded songwriter. As is the video below for “Still Trying,” which was recently recorded and performed on a London rooftop for Esquire.
We have a pair of tickets to give away to Rateliff’s show tomorrow (Friday, May 2nd) in St. Louis at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room. St. Louis-based musician John Henry will open the show, so be sure to arrive early for his set (9 PM).
To enter to win a pair of tickets, please do ONE of the following:
1. Simply copy and paste this into a tweet: I entered to win 2 tickets to @NRateliff + @johnhenryengine at @DuckRoom on 5/2 on @speakersincode.
2. Leave us a message on our Facebook page. (Leaving a comment on our original post is fine.)
3. Send an email to: [email protected] with the subject: “Nathaniel Rateliff Tickets.”
The contest will run through Friday, May 2nd at 10 AM CST, and we’ll randomly pick and contact the winner shortly after (if you enter through FB, we’ll announce your name on our FB page). Good luck!
