The Smashing Pumpkins played a mostly acoustic show last night at The Pageant in St. Louis. I write mostly because there were electronic moments, like “Ava Adore,” which featured Billy Corgan prancing around the stage like a power forward in search of a rebound (think: Dirk Nowitzki with a shaved head), and a spectacular cover of the Beatles’ “Something,” with featured opener Katie Cole and The Eeries.
