I remember darkness, and then I remember Glen Hansard.
I remember “Grace Beneath The Pines” performed sans amplification.
I remember Glen urgently singing “I’ll get through this…” just a few minutes into the show.
I remember him breaking away from the microphone at the end of “Bird of Sorrow,” with words echoing, “I’m not leaving…”
I remember chills, being taken to another place, another universe that did not exist before the show.
I remember Glen walking out into the crowd for the encore, singing “Say It To Me Now.”
I’ll remember November 23rd, 2015.
I’ll remember.
No words. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
