Talk about space jams. The only thing missing after a 16-minute version of “Dondante” was Air Jordan himself. What universe that My Morning Jacket transported us to last evening at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis is one only they can name or call home. We’re all just visiting for a few hours.
They chose to end with “Gideon” instead of the standard closer, “One Big Holiday.” But after Jim James remarked on Ferguson and equality, maybe it was better that way. And maybe these words rang a little truer than before:
