Birdy recently made a stop at Plush in St. Louis, and she backed up the hype currently surrounding her every move in the UK (if you didn’t know, she has over 2 million followers on Facebook). She is superbly talented, and able to perform on keys and guitar with confidence that is rarely found in a young woman who is a week away from turning 18. You might have heard her cover of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love,” which is wonderful. But so is her original material like “Wings” and “Words As Weapons,” both of which were played during her graceful 30-minute performance at Plush. Look for the U.S. release of Fire Within on June 3rd.
