I adore songwriters who take their time but also know when a song is supposed to end. On “Zero Integrity,” off Revenge Songs, Golden could have gone on and on about the hard times, the punch outs, and all the answers that he didn’t have. He instead decided to create a little bit of magic in under three minutes, and in my opinion, that’s what makes this song so special.
“No one’s ever loved you like I do.”
I think Golden is telling the truth.
