Yet, The Bewitched Hands On The Top Of Our Heads make captivatingly fundamental pop music. “Hard to Cry” is particularly charming, as it reminds me of child-like, campfire rounds at its onset, moving into extraterrestrial realms with otherworldly chanting, and culminating in bold, defiant sing-shouting. “I’m crying forever!”
It is truly an adventure, of the French-pop variety, moving across changing terrain, yet invariably sweet and mellow.
