Those are the words from Strand of Oaks’ “Goshen ’97.” and you’ll be able to hear them on Sunday in Chicago. Yes, there are still music festivals left. Coachella, Bonnaroo, Forecastle, Newport, and countless other music festivals have passed, and I actually heard someone talking about Christmas and eggnog the other day. But it’s still summer, which means one big music festival remains, quite possibly the biggest of them all: Lollapalooza.
This will be our fourth consecutive year covering Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park, so let me run down our illustrious history with the festival, and while you know the headliners (Paul McCartney, Metallica, Florence + the Machine, Sam Smith, etc), you might not be familiar with some of these songs/artists we’ve chosen to highlight in our 2015 Speakers in Code Lollapalooza Playlist!
