With two albums of pitch-perfect indie pop already under their belts, Tennis have yet again demonstrated their mastery of the craft with “Never Work For Free.” The Denver based husband-and-wife duo made waves with their Patrick Carney-produced sophomore LP, Young & Old, in 2011, and are continuing that partnership on their upcoming record, Ritual in Repeat. “Never Work For Free” is the first taste we’ve gotten of the new album, and it features all the sun-drenched vocal hooks and slick guitar work you’ve come to expect, with just enough wicked synth to keep things feeling fresh.
