I am in late summer love with every part of this new track from Kishi Bashi’s tour-only 7″. The haunting looped violins, the hand claps (all good summer songs need hand claps), his haunting reverbed voice, the oohs and ahs of the chorus. It’s ghostly and grounded and grooving, and if it doesn’t make you want to do a Friday desk chair dance, I’m falling down on my job as the Friday Jam of the Day writer.
Groove it. Catch him on tour. North Carolina, he’ll be at Cat’s Cradle next week, Thursday, 9/19, doors at 8, show at 9, $14 day of. Get there. Shake your ass. Love this song.
