Let’s get serious. After Jason and I started our music blog in January, cyberspace then needed another music blog like I currently need a hole in my head. While we’re totally positive that Speakers in Code fills a distinct void in your life, the Interwebs is now on a strict “one in, one out” rule after we came dangerously close to violating fire code with the launch of SIC.
However, it never ceases to amaze me how easy it is to find great music online. Yesterday, for example, as I chowed down on my lunch of cardboard pizza, I went to one of my favorite blogs, Muzzle of Bees, and then randomly picked one of its many blog links to try something new. One minute of exploring Chromewaves put me in touch with a fabulous London trio, The Invisible. And now you have your JOTD.
It’s impossible not to make comparisons to TV on the Radio when you listen to The Invisible, but I am more than okay with that. Both bands are eclectic, flying through genres with the greatest of ease. “London Girl” mixes soul and electronica and is such a chill track to coast through this Friday until the dawning of happy hour.
