I’m here to love you, but I don’t know what that means. I just want to feel what I feel, not wonder if it’s real… I want you to be real.
Call me romantic, delusional even, but I believe in soul mates. This summer, for the first time in my life, I’ve felt that thing where you just know. You see a stranger across a crowded room, your eyes meet, you smile, and your whole body seems to swell with light. It’s much cooler than love: It’s music. It’s poetry. It’s the best parts of the universe wrapped up in a tidy little human package. They’re so perfect for you, you have a hard time accepting the fact that they’re real.
Once in a while, a band comes along and you connect in a similar way. Within a few seconds of a song, your heart skips, and you just know. For me, one of those bands is Geographer. And one of those songs is “The Myth of Youth” off their most recent album Myth.
