Nomadic bass-wizard C.J. Boyd has been traveling the U.S. and abroad on “InfiniTour” since March of 2008, playing thousands of shows by himself and with numerous bands, including Desert Center, Kurva Choir, and Rhonya. “Peradora” is the premiere (and longest) track from Boyd’s forthcoming solo album, Precariat, and a stunning testament to his mastery of subsonic atmospherics and texture. Dulcet layers of upright and electric bass weave themselves into a flowing tapestry of low-end aestheticism, waxing and waning, constantly moving, much like Boyd himself.
Precariat is out 10/14 on Joyful Noise Recordings (LP) and Tinyamp Records (Tape) and is available for preorder here
