The last time we heard from Amanda Shires, she amazed us with Carrying Lightning, which included one of our favorite songs of 2011, “Swimmer…” Shires, who gets a lot of attention for talents on fiddle, is also a hell of a writer, and I’m guessing that her upcoming album, Down Fell The Doves, due August 6th, will only create more awareness.
