A big ‘ole indie rock & roll show moseyed into the Triangle area of NC Wednesday night, anchored by Canadian indie-pioneers of sorts, Stars, and two white-hot up-and-coming bands — Diamond Rings and California Wives. We sent our resident shutterbug Aggie Donkar out to the Cat’s Cradle to snap some pics for your viewing enjoyment. Looks like a pretty good time!
On a side note – Stars just released a stellar new album, The North, which is available now at your local record store (and probably online too for you lame-os.) It is, in this humble-blog’s opinion, their best work since Set Yourself On Fire, which is saying a lot, because that album kicked ass.
Also, Chicago-based quartet, California Wives, just released their full-length Vagrant debut, Art History, which is an awesome mix of steady rock anthems and new wave goodness. Plus, they are our Jam of the Day today! Yay!
