Last night a friend said to me that the Head and the Heart were at the best when they could feed off the crowd; that was certainly the case during their sold-out Raleigh show last night, playing to a crowd that might have been more excited to see the band than the band was to play (and the band was certainly excited to play). THATH warmed up the already excited crowd with old favorites “Coeur D’Alene” and “Ghosts” before moving into “My Friends” off Let’s Be Still.
The new songs sound absolutely stellar mixed in with the tracks from the first record and a few still-unreleased live favorites; the energy of the 90 minute set didn’t flag at any point. THATH are a pleasure to watch live, and last night was no exception.
