Springfield, Missouri’s hometown cuties, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, are quite a prolific crew. In a few months, the band is geared to release a double album compilation called Tape Club, a collection of songs that have never previously appeared on any of SSLYBY’s records. The songs intentionally span the ten years the boys have been together and are quite indicative of the band’s evolution over the past decade. Even though you’ve never heard them before…
The standout track – and today’s Jam of the Day – is “Yellow Missing Signs.” My goodness, it’s just what I need to get me over this Hump Day. Bouyant synthpop (and a lyrical missing person mystery at that!) is enough to turn my frown upside down. Take a listen, folks.

The 26-track Tape Club compilation is out October 18th on Polyvinyl.
