On Monday (4/4), S. Carey of Bon Iver hits Off Broadway for a show with Blood Pony and local band Dots Not Feathers. As you may know, Bon Iver is set to release a new album this summer, but for now, Carey is still touring off of last year’s debut solo record, All We Grow. The album is arguably best represented by the beautiful “In The Dirt.” Let’s have a listen.
Carey checked in with us late last year after his tour with The Tallest Man On Earth, offering up his 10 to Spin picks. We’re glad he decided to play along.
We just finished a month long tour with The Tallest Man On
Earth and one aspect of his music we really keyed in on is his use of
bird imagery in his songs. Some of my favorite artists have also
written about birds and here are some beautiful examples of that
imagery. –S. Carey
