The New Schematics are breaking into the Nashville music scene with a familiar face, but with a classic yet magical sound, that’s new and improved. The New Schematics is fronted by Cory Bishop, who recently wrapped up his solo project and brought his best friend Michael Bare with him to create something entirely different from his previous records.
Bishop & Bare spent six months on a secluded studio in Franklin, TN with producer Andrew Bergthold crafting their new sound for their upcoming EP, which is due out sometime this summer. The duo are joined on the upcoming record by John Briggs on vocals and electric guitars, Eric Montgomery on keys and synths, and Ayrton Gauerke on drums and percussion. Through all their efforts over the last six months, The New Schematics have created a unique yet nostalgic rock and roll sound.
We are proud to premiere their first single and lyric video for “Born Without Borders“, created by Dillon Bock and inspired by their love for VHS tapes, thanks to their old but trusty luxury “tour” van, otherwise known as “The Ship”. The New Schematics’ first show is on May 11th at The Basement East with Nashville based pop band Nodaway and Durham, NC based folk group, Look Homeward. Stay tuned on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for further record news.
