It’s been a minute since I’ve complained about insanely talented young songwriters, and their ability to make me feel like an aging piece of talentless shit. It IS worth stating, however that Torres singer/songwriter Mackenzie Scott is only 22 — not because age matters, but because there is a massively…mature?…feel to this song. Brooding in ways, its beauty really comes into form as the song progresses, seemingly gaining momentum like a couple dancing dramatically on a parquet reception hall floor.
