Your eyes a shade of wonder
Like if thunder had a color
Amanda Shires is back in St. Louis tonight at Off Broadway. Her set is part of this year’s Open Highway Music Festival, which runs through Sunday. You can get more information about all the upcoming sets this weekend here.
Shires has come a long way since 2011, when she played to roughly a dozen people at the now defunct Warehouse in St. Louis. Her music, though, has always been superb (seriously, listen to “When You Need a Train it Never Comes”), including her new single, “Harmless,” from the upcoming My Piece of Land, due September 16.
Tickets for tonight’s show, which also features Billy Joe Shaver + Andrew Leahey & the Homestead, can be purchased here.
