Actor/real-life goofy music dude Michael Cera posted an eclectic and extremely enjoyable surprise album on Bandcamp last week called true that. The bulk of the 18 tracks are lo-fi instrumental affairs that don’t run longer than three minutes and consist primarily of piano, organ, acoustic guitar and the occasional synthesizer. “Brat” is a jaunty morsel of Rhodes keyboard and acoustic guitar goodness that first evokes the feeling of being in an extremely lonely silent movie, but eventually reminds us that we’re not as lonely as we sometimes think.
