The Möbius strip, by definition, is a surface that has the mathematical property of being non-orientable. And while I have no idea what the fuck that means, I’m going to pretend it refers to the surface having no north, south, east or west — that if one were to be cargo-dropped onto some sort of Möbius strip-shaped planet, they would wander around aimlessly until they go insane, passing by the same point no matter which direction they turn.
It is that sense of movement — call it the sound of exploration, that I heard the first time T0W3RS’ Möbius strip played on my Walkman. Think big, sweeping movements across crystal water, or plains of wheat — the soundtrack to a backpack trip to the top of Kilimanjaro — something major and life-altering.
Just listen to the song and you’ll catch my drift. Then go pick up their new EP, WYATT, which is available as a five-song cassette,
CD or a download. You can procure it here.
