Don’t let your silly dreams

The crack of the bed and the wall
If good genes mean anything — and I’m led to believe that they most certainly do — Rayland Baxter should definitely have more than a fighting chance at being a special musician. His father, Bucky Baxter, spent many years touring with Bob Dylan, and it’s Bucky’s pedal steel you hear on the Grammy-award winning Time Out Of Mind.
And Rayland? Well, he was born to sing. Born to write, too — his debut full-length album, feathers & fishHooks, drops on August 28th. Until then, we have this to share: the premiere of Baxter’s cover of My Morning Jacket’s “Bermuda Highway.”
